Islands of The Bahamas

The Bahamas is a developing, English-speaking nation comprising more than 700 islands and cays scattered across 100,000 sq. miles of brilliant blue ocean, just off the coast of Florida. Only about thirty of the islands are inhabited, and approximately two-thirds of the country's entire population lives on New Providence, where Nassau, the capital and commercial hub, is located.

Map of The Bahamas IslandsMinutes away from the United States and well connected to the world, there is a perennial flow of tourists through these islands. The Bahamas is easily accessible from everywhere via direct flights between major US and European hubs, cruise ports and an abundance of marinas. Yet, despite all the activity, the Bahamas offers many quiet, private, privileged communities with breath-taking views.

As an independent country with a stable democratic government and good international relations, the Bahamas is a secure place to live or to invest. The Bahamian people are friendly, with a colourful nature that you will immediately see reflected in our culture and even our landscape. Bahamians have mastered a unique balance between business and laid-back island life-style.
