Features: Tennis courts, 18-hole championship golf course, 185-slip marina, 244 custom homesites and 115 upscale single-family residences.
Status: Despite conflicts and lawsuits this project has commenced.

Status: The marina opened in June 2006 with half of the planned slips. Completion is expected in late 2007/2008

Bimini

Bimini Bay Resort & Casino
Location: Bimini
Size: 700 acres
Developer: Gerard Capo of Miami-based Capo Group
Projected Investment: $400 million
Features: 2,100 residential units, a 250-room luxury hotel managed by Conrad Hilton, a 20,000 square foot casino, convention center, marina and 18-hole golf course
Status: First phase is completed and open. Completion of remaining project expected in 2008, or 2009

Cat Island

Crystal Mount Resort
Location: South Cat Island
Size: 500 acres
Developer: Crystal Mount Limited, a company owned by Hamad Jassim Mohammad Al-Thani, a businessman and member of the royal family of Qatar and Mr. Zumot, an entrepreneur with emphasis in land development
Projected Investment: $26 million
Features: Plans include a "Monte Carlo-styled casino," 250-room hotel, 75 villas and at least 100 estate lots
Status: Government approval granted January 2006

Flamingo Point

Projected Investment: $120 million
Features: Park Yatt boutique hotel, two marinas, condominiums, and oceanfront lots
Status: The developers have stated that buyers are expected to be able to move in during late 2008 or early 2009.

Pineapple Fields
Location: near Governor's Harbour (formerly the site of the Potlatch club)

Developer: Out Island Resort Management (OIRM), principals include David Barlyn, Peter Birkweiser and Chris Lightbourn
Features: 32-unit condo/hotel, a spa, cottages and single family homes. Also a beachfront restaurant and gourmet deli
Status: the restaurant (Tippy's), gourmet deli and 12 units of the condo/hotel are open.

Powell Point At Cape Eleuthera
Location: Cape Eleuthera

Developer: Alticor, parent company of Amway Corp. owned by Richard M. DeVos family, Michigan

Sky Beach Club

February Point

Status: This is the largest resort community project to come to the Bahamas, including Atlantis. Ginn will start by developing the marinas and golf courses. Full completion is expected to take 20 years.
Pricing: golf course, deepwater, and oceanfront homesites expected to range from $600,000 to $1 million and up.

Old Bahama Bay
Location: West End, Grand Bahama
Size: 228 acres
Developer: West End Developers

Features: Boutique 73 suite hotel now open; waterfront residential community with 82 homesites, 72-slip marina, customs house

Status: Government approval granted in 2005. Opening is set for 2009

Projected Investment: $1.8 billion
Features: The Initial Investment will include major airport enhancements and expansions to feature the "longest runway in the worls", a boutique commercial resort facility and small marina

Status: Agreed in principle but no official approval

Rum Cay

Rum Cay Resort Marina
Location: Rum Cay

Developer: Montana Holdings of Nassau
Projected Investment: $700 million
Features: New Airport Terminal, and hangar, 80-slip marina, hotel and marina village
Status: Government approval in 2004. Marina and marina vilage scheduled to open in 2007. Completion scheduled for 2011
