Supermarkets Super Value and City Market are the two main supermarkets in the Bahamas, each with numerous locations. Both are well-stocked with a wide variety of almost every food or necessity.

Shopping

Retail stores in the Bahamas range from thrift stores to upscale designer boutiques. Bay Street, one of Nassau's primary tourist attractions, is nearly two miles of outdoor shops and restaurants. New Providence has two malls - Mall at Marathon caters to indoor shoppers but consists of the same type of merchandise found on Bay Street.

Social Events

Plenty of weekly, monthly and one-time events are scheduled throughout the Bahamas daily, including rotary clubs, art exhibitions, clinics, seminars, lectures, sporting events, family activities, cultural events and plenty more.

Sports

Rugby, soccer, baseball and softball, basketball and track-and-field are among the most popular sports played in the Bahamas. Recently, the Bahamas entered into multiple sponsorship opportunities with a number of Florida sports teams, mainly the fan-favourite Miami Dolphins, which serves as the Bahamas "home" football team. Children are encouraged to join the various Little League teams which range from softball and baseball to soccer and basketball.
